First off: The most economical way to cloth diaper a baby is by using diaper covers and prefolds. So if you are primarily looking to save money by going with reusable diapers, this is the way to go.

Bummis offers two great kits that come with everything you need.

The Infant size kit contains:

I sell two types of Bummis diaper covers.

THE SUPER BRITE: (pictured below)

• Very adjustable. Hook and loop closures with an innovative overlap design that ensures a custom fit on any baby.

• A special newborn size with an umbilical cord cut-out that fits teeny tiny babies from 4 lbs!

• A specialized binding system combining soft, smooth polyester knit bindings with our signature lycra gussets for a comfortable, stretchy fit, and leakproof seal.

• Super lightweight and trim – not bulky at all!

This diaper comes in green, yellow, blue, and pink. All super brite and with the cute circle design pattern. They are super light weight -no bulk. They work well with a prefold or a fitted diaper of your choice (any brand). They are NOT one size, meaning you will need to buy different sizes of covers to fit your child as they grow. The upside to this: they will fit better than a one size diaper and last longer since you are not using them for your child's entire diapering life.


And the WHISPER WRAP: (pictured below)

• Generous sizing means fewer cloth diaper covers to buy, while still assuring a great fit.

This diaper comes in all the prints below. I only keep some of the prints in stock but can always special order others if you want them. This diaper cover is not quite as light weight as the Super Brite but not extra bulky. It is heavy duty and ready for anything. They work well with a prefold or a fitted diaper of your choice (any brand). They are NOT one size, meaning you will need to buy different sizes of covers to fit your child as they grow. The upside to this: they will fit better than a one size diaper and last longer since you are not using them for your child's entire diapering life.

The great thing about using diaper covers today is that they hold up very well. They will last longer than your all in one diapers and pocket diapers because they are being washed less. You can use a diaper cover 3-4 times on average before having to wash it. This means that you only need to buy about 8-10 diaper covers of each size for your child. They hold leaks very well. Even better than that: No pins or fasteners are required. The prefold (if you choose to use it instead of a fitted diaper) will stay in place just by putting the cover on. Very awesome!

As if that isn't enough good news. Bummis also makes a very cute swim diaper (pictured above). This is it, this is all you need. No plastic cover required. Just put this diaper on and throw your child's swimwear over it and you are good to go. Hello swimming pool.

Also, Bummis sells a training pant so you can stick with reusable when your little one is potting training. You won't have to stop your reusable lifestyle. Isn't this just great!
